Solve app crashing calculator - amv2002 - 11-05-2024 08:42 PM

Trying to solve the following system of equations but when I press solve the reboot screen pops up. Please let me know if made an error setting up the equations. Thanks.

E1 = X + 30*cos(360-30) - Q = 0
E2 = Y + 30*sin(360-30) = 0
E3 = -|30*cos(360-30)*11| - |30*sin(360-30)*4| + |Q*5.5| = 0

In degree mode btw.

The solver app is pretty finicky, if you don’t give it good initial guesses, much to the chagrin of the user, it will often crash.

Yeah, I figured as much. I believe it's due to the absolute value symbols. I just had to solve for it outside of the app and plug in the values.

It's a shame though, the CAS solve gives two different arrays of answers making it confusing to know the actual answers so I was hoping the solve app would be the perfect solution.
