Hello floppy/Sylvain/Diego. I thank you all for answering rapidly. I have made enquiries about the 82120D - the new model, but still the original HP vintage 82120A is what I would prefer, at this moment.
I received advice from Diego - thanks a lot! - so now I *also* need rechargeable LR1/N batteries so I can (try) to build a battery pack myself.
