Is that available? I see that there is a battery powered converter in the want ads, and was pondering adding a battery to mine.
Upon reflection, though, it might be better to just create a battery powered 8 V AC inverter.

The "82164A RS232 Interface Service Manual" includes a schematic. It's on a well-known HP41 site (whose URL gets replaced with asterisks if I try to include it here) or Erich Rechlin's HHC USB drive.
