OK, so WHY might an HP-17B calculator on the front cover be interesting? The only other reference to the 17B is in the acknowledgement.

So, when doing a search for text, pubs, etc., with the phrase 'HP-17B" (or any like phrase), be advised.

And that picture appears to have been borrowed from the Afrikaans edition of the same book: Rekeningkunde – 'n Inleiding. Hence the text in the calculator's display.
