Dang. I love this calculator.
I've googled this topic and tried various things except for leaving batteries out overnight. I would appreciate any and all suggestions about getting it to start.
Is it common for '41s to get cranky with age?

At least you didn't insert those pesky 6 volt alarm batteries!
By the way, reversing the polarity momentarily, is one of the 'unfreezing' methods of a locked up 41.
