Cubic and Quartic Formulae - LCieParagon - 02-21-2015 04:18 AM Hello everyone. I was just curious if an App exists to find exact values for a cubic and quartic polynomial rather than decimal approximations. I know Maple can provide exact answers, but I've yet to see a calculator do this. Thanks. RE: Cubic and Quartic Formulae - Simone Cerica - 02-21-2015 01:36 PM There was a discussion a while ago... Including real as well as complex solutions. There are several ways to solve such equations, the formulas are well know for centuries. Please take a look at Wikipedia on roots of cubic functions. OK – solving quartic functions is a different story. ;-) Dieter RE: Cubic and Quartic Formulae - LCieParagon - 02-21-2015 05:58 PM (02-21-2015 04:57 PM)Dieter Wrote:(02-21-2015 04:18 AM)LCieParagon Wrote: I was just curious if an App exists to find exact values for a cubic and quartic polynomial rather than decimal approximations. I would like a calculator to provide an exact solution. I can calculate it myself using the formulae.
