I think it's better if mathematical symbols are not moved on the keyboard. That's the reason why I thought about the shift-hold access for subscripts and superscripts, but if you want that shift and shift-hold make the same thing, then my suggestion is not valid.

I tend to overlap keypresses a lot, probably some brain malfunction, but when typing fast I overlap most numbers, I typically use 2 fingers from each hand to punch in numbers. I think it's a matter of inertia, the fingers go down with a lot of momentum, and takes me longer to release a key than to find the next one and strike Smile.
But that's why I like HP keyboards, they can handle that (except the 49G+, drove me crazy with missed keystrokes).
