Needing help with infrared printer - PMG - 05-21-2015 01:40 AM Hello. I am in the process of selling a ton of graphic calculators from a friend's estate. I admittedly have almost no idea what I'm doing, but I am trying to make as much as I can for her and her little boy. This is the printer that was among the things I have been asked to sell: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/HlIAAOSwrklVWNiw/$_57.JPG and the back: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFg4NzA=/z/jLsAAOSwv0tVXTQL/$_57.JPG When plugged in and turned on, it powers up and the red light glows. But that's about the end of my understanding of it. The calculators I have on hand to potentially use to test it are: HP 49G+ HP 49GX TI TI-81 HP 50G HP 49G Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you! RE: Needing help with infrared printer - PANAMATIK - 05-21-2015 03:40 AM Your printer model is the HP82240B. http://www.keesvandersanden.nl/calculators/hp82240.php The HP50G has an infrared port and can be used for testing. See the HP50G users manual page 834. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-50g-Graphing-Calculator/3235173/model/3235174/manuals/ Just place the calculator in front of the red LED and issue a print command. I don't think it has any connectors expect for the AC power adapter. I'm sure they don't go with the printer, but rather than try to sell them individually I thought I'd make a lot out of the accessories, so to speak. And you're correct, just an AC outlet. RE: Needing help with infrared printer - Dave Frederickson - 05-21-2015 03:10 PM The printer's self test can be run by holding the paper advance button down, turning on power, then releasing the paper advance button. Here's an example printout. |
