Free to good home - TASP - 07-02-2015 05:30 PM

Have surplus 82033A battery packs. The batteries are shot, but I assume there is a demand for the housings for rebuilds. (if not, let me know and I will toss them, LOL)

Anyhow, just hate to see any of the HP stuff go to the landfill if someone wants it.

I'll spring for shipping in the US.

I have 2 (might be another in storage?). If 2 or more responses, will go to first 2. If only 1 response, you'll get 2.

If a third one turns up, I'll post it.

I've had Interstate rebuild a couple, and they are fine, I've ordered a couple from TAS and they are fine too. Just don't need to have old packs laying around. Cells aren't leaking (yet) just have little or no capacity. Both are as built, red tags intact, plastic weldment unsplit.

They fit the 82143 and 82162 printer, and some other items.

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 07-02-2015 05:53 PM

There are 3 packs.

RE: Free to good home - Gene - 07-02-2015 08:00 PM

Sign me up. I'm interested.

RE: Free to good home - rprosperi - 07-02-2015 10:32 PM

I'm interested and will gladly pay shipping. 1 only.

RE: Free to good home - jjohnson873 - 07-03-2015 01:23 PM

I'll take one as well, if there's another left over. I'll gladly pay shipping.

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 07-03-2015 03:18 PM

OK, we have our 3.

Appreciate this opportunity to help out.

I have one address, if the other 2 would also PM me with that, I expect items to ship after this holiday weekend.

jjohnson873: I'll get the shipping, just easier that way, if you want pay it forward, please, surprise somebody!

Wink

Free to good home:

*D*E*A*D* HP82001 battery pack ( 'Classic' HP35,45,55,65, etc. 3 cell battery pack)

Will hold no charge at all, but not leaking. Black vinyl sleeved cells, JAPAN and some lettering visible on one. Pack never rebuilt so it's not taped up or re-welded.

Same as last time, Free shipping to US address. I know for sure this one is dead, if and when time permits, I'll test some more. If you want, pay it forward. I just hate to see an HP item landfilled if someone has a use for it.

I know I have at least one other pack somewhere around here with leaking cells, if this is value-less, please apprise and it will go in the appropriate tub at Best Buy.

DON'T FAINT !!

I have something good too !!

In sorting through my HP horde, I found 2 copies of W.C. Wickes Synthetic Programming on the HP41C.

Clearly, I do not need 2. This is the green paperback cover w/ HP41 drawing on the cover. Bar code in the back is fine, book looks in good shape, I didn't scribble on it, or correct any mistakes. Mr. Wickes didn't autograph it either.

Wink

Anyhow, same as above, will ship free to US address for someone wanting/needing a copy. It is the classic tome on synthetics.

Let's reflect in awe of the pioneers !!

RE: Free to good home - Duane Hess - 07-18-2015 02:15 AM

If the synthetic programming manual is still available, I'd be glad to have it. Would be willing to pay shipping, thanks.

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 07-18-2015 02:33 AM

OK, we have a taker for the book. Don't worry about postage, pay it forward if you want.

Study hard, there will be a test.

(just kidding)

PM address to me, probably will post Monday or Tuesday.

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 07-18-2015 02:58 AM

Battery pack is claimed, thanx to all who participated!

Share and enjoy . . .

Here's a book that turned up:

BASIC second edition

Authors: Boillot and Horn

Copyright: 1976 and 1979

softcover, pretty good shape overall

Free to good home, I'll pay shipping. If you feel inclined, pay it forward.

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 11-03-2015 02:42 PM

BASIC second edition found a home so,

here's another softcover book:

Schaum's Outline Series

Theory and problems of

Programming with BASIC

3/ed

Book in pretty good shape, didn't see any pencil markings in it, not creased up, not dog eared or coffee stained.

As always, free shipping to US address.

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 11-24-2015 06:39 PM

OK;

we're going to have a BLACK FRIDAY special !!

I'll keep the title secret till the reveal at a random time this Friday, 11/27, CST. First US poster that wants it gets it free shipping.

This is, I think, a pretty good title. Didn't see any recent sales on TAS, but the asking price for them surprised me.

So, check in this Friday, assuming you're still not comatose from turkey leftovers from Thursday, at random times. At some point Friday, I'll post the title (you'll be surprised, it's a pretty good find) and first US taker gets a BLACK FRIDAY special at MoHPC.

Smile

Now that's a good way to get folks clicking here on Friday Wink

Now, I'm trying to figure out how you can monetize extra traffic on this site...

I've seen many, many Black-Friday specials, and until now, did not think I would ever see one that would motivate me to rush into the maddened crowd. But clicking can be done even while watching the Macy's Parade or football!

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 11-24-2015 09:06 PM

you don't even have to get dressed

Wink

RANDOM TIME FRIDAY IS HERE NOW !!!

So, here we go:

The book is

Mastering Forth

Anita Anderson
Martin Tracy
MicroMotion

A step by step tutorial to the high level stack oriented FORTH computer language. Formerly titled Forth Tools, this unique guide introduces you to each of the commands required by the FORTH-83 International Standard-the preferred dialect of the FORTH Interest Group. This book also includes utilities and extensions that can be written within the standard.

Because FORTH is an interactive language, this book is ideal for use while sitting at the computer. Inside you find complete discussions on:

*stack manipulation
*variables
*loops
*strings
*compiling words
*defining words . . . and more !!!

The book is in 'near' new condition, softcover, and not marked up. Free to first US responder that needs it.

Happy Black Friday all. Ill need an address to mail it to, and please allow a few days for me to get the ice off the driveway so I can head to the local postal facility and get it out to you.

Smile

We have a winner!

thanx for all who visited the site today

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 11-28-2015 03:33 AM

Our winner has graciously suggested the contest be kept open for a while longer. He'll take the book if no one else wants it, but he'd appreciate all those possibly interested to look over the description.

Have at it crew !!

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 11-28-2015 05:12 PM

And we've had someone reply that is just what the kind of aficionado the first contestant had in mind.

Thanks everyone, we have a winner !!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, food, football and maybe a little turn on the HP machines!!

RE: Free to good home - TASP - 01-02-2016 02:34 AM

Here's something a little different:

Radio Shack catalog number: 276-5012A

Engineer's Mini-Notebook

Optoelectronics Circuits

by Forest Mims III

This isn't really HP related at all, but there might be someone here who's interest in electronics started with something like this. Opportunity to recapture a bit of your electronic history.

Free ship to a US address, and hopefully it goes to someone with fond memories of looking over Radio Shack catalogs, and looking over their kits and parts and imagining what might be fun to build.
