From what I recall, looks like an interface cable to let you connect an IDE drive to the custom connector that attached on the back of the PC-3000 unit. Also, could be for a floppy connector. A search of the WEB indicates that Sharp did make an external floppy drive for the PC-3000/3100, but I couldn't find any photos of it or the interface cable. Okay, found it - The floppy drive was CE-301F. Following is link to some photos - but doesn't look like your cable: CE-301F Floppy Drive Bill Smithville, NJ RE: Sharp interface PC-3000 - rprosperi - 07-26-2015 10:15 PM (07-26-2015 06:58 PM)Bill (Smithville NJ) Wrote:(07-25-2015 01:33 AM)rprosperi Wrote: From what I recall, looks like an interface cable to let you connect an IDE drive to the custom connector that attached on the back of the PC-3000 unit. Production then switched to the pretty one in Bill's photos. I was at Sharp at the time, but not in the PC group. Oddly, seeing the part number CE-301F actually brought pangs of "...yeah, that sounds familiar..." |
