List prices - striegel - 09-04-2015 09:10 PM

Because I work for an HP reseller in the US, I have access to price lists of most all of their part numbers. Recently I did a search for all of the published calculator model list prices. (That is, numbers that are still in HP's price file.)

There are some oddities in the list, since the price file isn't always immediately purged of items that are no longer available. In addition, some of the list prices shown don't line up with prices available from HP's own public web site - and not always in the same direction.

I put together a spreadsheet of the 33 different order numbers that represent 9 different models and their nominal US List Prices along with 'Internet Prices' found through HP's public web pages.
Excel spreadsheet of HP calculator list prices as of 2015-09-01

It is curious that in 2 cases, the internet prices were actually higher than HP's list price. Have a look.

Heh, I am not surprise at this.
I used to work with a master distributor here in the USA as well.
Needless to say, they had really bad prices for small sellers.
They would rather give better prices to High-Level retailers and the likes.
So, I quit doing business with them, I got fed-up...

Cheers,
-Steve.
