how to copy a Default program to my PC? - Luca - 01-31-2014 10:59 AM Hello, i have a problem using my Hp Prime and i really wish you could help me: I've copied the spreadsheet app and created a new spreadsheet saved with a different name in wich i've insered many functions (as i do in my pc through Microsoft Excel), does anyone know how to import this one in my pc? I've already made these attempts: -tried to connect trough the connectivity kit and copy the content of the new spreadsheet to a blank one created in my pc but, when i save it and close it, it doesn't save all the cells; -tried to connect trought PrimeComm but this app saves only the hpappprgm apps and not the defaults such as spreadsheet or copies of it. Please help me! Thanks! RE: how to copy a Default program to my PC? - CR Haeger - 01-31-2014 01:21 PM Hello I send these APPs from the handheld to the EMULATOR on the PC, not the connectivity kit. Others may have suggestions. RE: how to copy a Default program to my PC? - Luca - 01-31-2014 02:26 PM Thank you very much it worked fine! Do you also know how -once i've saved in virtual calc- can i send this file via email? Your programs are in C:\Users\Your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\HP_Prime\ with a .hpprgm extension. You can attach them to an e-mail. You can also execute the connectivity kit while running the emulator. From there, you copy and paste the source code of a program to a text editor and then save it as a text (Unicode) file. Miguel RE: how to copy a Default program to my PC? - Luca - 01-31-2014 03:48 PM Ok thank you! RE: how to copy a Default program to my PC? - Tim Wessman - 01-31-2014 04:32 PM You should also be able to open it up on the connectivity kit by double clicking on it, and then copy and paste everything to excel. I just tried it and it worked fine here. I just tried it and it worked fine here. But can you do the reverse? Can an Excel spreadsheet be copied to either the emulator or the connectivity kit and then sent to the calculator? I have tried to copy and paste an Excel spreadsheet to either the CK or the emulator without success. Is there a trick to this? Can an Excel spreadsheet be copied to either the That behavior in the connectivity kit seems to be an error (of connectivity kit?). I tried the following steps: - copy some cells from excel to notepad (direct copy to connectivity kit doesn't work) - copy them from notepad to the spreadsheet app (virtual prime) Result: The copied cells are visible (no obvious errors), and could be saved. But re-opening the spreadsheet app (in the connectivity kit) only shows the previous state, without the added cells. Manually changing and adding values to the virtual spreadsheet (in connectivity kit) results in very strange effects (try it for yourself) - definitely the error seems to be in the connectivity kit.
