Question on complex arithmetic with 15c - lemontea - 07-18-2016 07:19 PM Hi all, I read this post http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/archv018.cgi?read=137175 but don't understand it! :-) If I type in that program, can someone explain how do I use it for calculating with complex numbers? (I am calculating electrical impedance so just need to work in two dimensions with the "a + jb" format; I do have a complex number RPN app on my iPhone but it would be handier to grab my 15c on the table and do it). Thanks! RE: Question on complex arithmetic with 15c - Harald - 07-18-2016 08:51 PM The 15c handles complex numbers pretty well. Unless you need the fuctions added by that program, you don't need it. Just set flag 8 and all built in functions are now complex. You can edit real and imaginary part using the re <> im button. The 15c manual is availaböe online from hp an describes all this in detail. RE: Question on complex arithmetic with 15c - lemontea - 07-19-2016 03:27 AM OK thanks. Now that you mention it, it rings a little bell. Will check the manual.
