Different Designs of the Battery Pack 82120A for HP-41 - damaltor - 08-30-2016 11:42 AM

After refurbishing a battery pack, i read something about the two different designs used inside them. I wanted to put all those things together for the future, so here you are:

- Refurbishment and schematic of an "old", 3-Pin battery pack (by me):

- Refurbishment and schematic of a "new", 2-Pin battery pack (by Kees van der Sanden):

- Discussion about the two different designs:

Obviously the 2-Pin version is better. I also had that Memory-Lost-glitch once after wiggling in the connector. Also there might be possibilities to overvoltage the calculator when the batteries start to fail.
