LOL.....
I was just thinking about how long I have had my 42s
and how many keystrokes I might have put on it.
bought it in 1987.....so its 29 years old...... and it still works just great.
and I use it everyday. crazy but I have put a min of 2,300,000 key strokes
on this little guy. what a machine...... thanks HP.
anybody have more keystrokes than that?

The HP42S was introduced on October 31, 1988 along with the HP14B. A bunch of us attended the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas January 1989 and on January 7th, we heard HP's Chris Bunsen speak on the 42S (and other topics) at the annual HP users' gathering at Denny's Restaurant on Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas. Starting on page 9 of Volume 1 Number 6 of Brian Walsh's HPX Exchange publication, there is a very lengthy HP-42S review, which begins with "On October 31, 1988, the HP-42S was introduced in the USA, (along with the HP-14B)".

prob still 2.3 million as that was conservative.
