Differece between 1820-0848 and 1820-1169 ARC? - Harald - 11-21-2016 09:01 PM

Does anybody know the difference and wether the two parts are interchangeable?
I have replaced a dead 1820-0848 with a 1820-1169 and it kind of works. But I get a brief flash of a couple of segments at startup. Now that might be an incompatibility of the ARC, or it might be a defect on the board that could explain the dead anode driver I found in the same machine.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Harald

This link (which I believe belongs to Eric) lists the -0848 chip as being replaced by the -1169. From this, I assume that they are completely interchangeable.

Maybe Eric can shed some light on how to interpret that list.
