C71 Soft Forth Emulator - Dave Frederickson - 12-05-2017 05:56 PM The CMT C71 Emulator is a Voyager emulator for the 71B. It was developed using Soft Forth and is the only known Soft Forth application. - http://www.jeffcalc.hp41.eu/emu71/index.html#sforth It would be nice if we could reverse-engineer a manual. The overlays for C71 are available here and are the only clues to operating the emulator. - http://hp.giesselink.com/Emu71/Kmlpc/EMU71_Overlays.7z It is known that the [TO CS]/[TO EB] keys switch between the Computer Scientist (16C) and Engineering/Business (11C/12C) modes, but that's about it. The ROM image can be loaded into Emu71 or burned into an EPROM for use. RE: C71 Soft Forth Emulator - J-F Garnier - 12-06-2017 08:34 AM An additional information on C71, there is a copyright in the C71LEX. Using the HTA$ function of the JPC ROM: >ADDR$("C71LEX") A8000 >HTA$(PEEK$("AA968",78)) Copyright (C) 1987 IOTA Systems; by DJG I've no idea of what was the IOTA Systems company, and who was DJG, but IOTA is also associated with the Data Communications Pac (HP-82488A), see here. I see that the Data Comm Pac was developed and written for HP by Iota Systems and Firmware Specialists, Inc. Dave |
