I just push PockEmul on the Play Store and it has been approved in less than 30 minutes :-)

And it already updated on my phone. Smile
Regarding HP 41 emulation: I have set flags 28 & 29; when I press PRGM I see ",END, REG 219"
Shouldn't it be ".END. REG 219" despite decimal point setting?

Thank you!

You are absolutely right !
You can check it in Alpha mode, I have inverted . and , :-( in the display emulation.
It is fixed and will be part of the next release.

thank you for your feedback.

RE: Upcoming PockEmul on Android
I'm not sure if this is the place for requests, but…

On the Voyager models, you have that very useful stack display column to the right of the LCD.

I note that the bottom row, of the 5-row table, is empty. Would you please consider adding 'X' to that bottom row?

I know it doesn't seem needed, since it's visible on the LCD, but when I'm comparing X/Y, etc, I find it fiddly to glance back and forth from the LCD to the stack table, so it would be nice to have X duplicated in the stack table, as well as the LCD.

thanks very much for considering…

Hi, First of all, thank you for your feedbacks, I was a little bit anxious :-)
The 5th line is in fact reserved for the current program line. It is useful in P/R mode because it translate he current code to instructions labels.
It is displayed too during the execution, but i must admit it fetches too quickly. I want to add a slow execution mode or a step by step execution mode in the future.

Displaying the X register is a bit tricky. The X register is not stored in memory but in the cpu. what is displayed is an interpretation of the real value. I continue working on it and I will add it if I find a solution.

RE: Upcoming PockEmul on Android
thanks very much for the quick reply, Rémy.

I forgot about that use of the 5th line, sorry! And even saw your comment about the speed issue.

Understood re the X value; fair enough.

I've not had much time yet to play with your app properly, and have several calcs in it I want to give a good workout. Will do so asap.

thanks again, great app.

RE: Upcoming PockEmul on Android
Hi Remy,

I just noticed a bug that I didn't have in the previous version.

If you launch a fx-8000g then leave the app for a while and come back, the LCD is blank. Typing keys has no effect, until after a while suddenly it works, but all your key presses prior to that are void (but they still uses space on screen). Any clue ?

Btw, any plan for other casios ? fx-4000p ? fx-7500g since an emulator already exists ?

I would also love the TI-95 procalc... Any roadmap ? Smile

Many thanks in advance and cheers,

Vincent

Hi Vincent,
Thanks for your feedback.
The issue with the fx-8000g might be cause by the auto power off. I will investigate.
There is no plan for the FX-7500g now but i will take a look on it. Perhaps it is similar to the fx-8000g...
About the TI-95, I think i will release this package (with the TI-74) just after the Sharp new generation package(E-500 and G850).

Regards

RE: Upcoming PockEmul on Android
I can't seem to get the PockEmul Store to populate with any thing.

I just get a Blank Screen with message "Retrieving product list from PockEmul Store" in the middle of screen.

But I never do see a list of products.

I get the same effect on both of my Android Phones and on two Amazon Fire Tablets.

Am I doing something wrong?

At startup, PockEmul load all available products from internet and display this message if it fails.
Just beside this message, you should have a RELOAD button. Click on it, with an internet access of course, it should reload the store.

I was able to get the store loaded on my Google Pixel Phone. On my two Amazon Fire Tablets which are running the Amazon version of Android, but which I have side loaded the Google Store on - neither one will load the store.
So there is something unusual with Fire tablets.

Perhaps there is an issue with the https protocol.
Could you try to download the user manual for the FX-8000g ( Contextual menu, Documents) ? It uses the https protocol too.

No problem downloading the FX-8000g manual on the fire tablet.

RE: Upcoming PockEmul on Android
Hi Remy,

I noticed that Pascal Meheut has done a Casio fx-702p simulator for Windows/OSX/Linux.

I really love that machine, alas there is no Android version to my knowledge.

Any thoughts of adapting this one for Pockemul ? With the Sharp PC-1211 that would simulates both first BASIC pockets Smile

Thanks a lot and cheers,

Vincent

RE: Upcoming PockEmul on Android
Hi Regis,

Just to let you know that the Sharp PC-1350 does not behave well when you leave pockemul and come back, often the momeory cards get corrupted and when you LIST you get strange BASIC lines in the range of 4113, whith parts of text like pockemul.com in their content ! Should the machine be always turned off before leaving, like what you did for the Casio fx-8000g ?

Thanks and cheers,

Vincent
