An icon on the home, or a global gesture that calls this touch simple calculator:

This app is highly flawed: It doesn't run on my phone ;-).

Very nice, thanks for sharing :-).

That app is amazing, no ads, clean and fast. I usually use the s-pen (provides a lot more accuracy but for a similar experience in the prime the finger also works) and I prefer this app vs the android normal touch calculator any time.

Nah, I'll stick with Thomas' no less amazing Free42, and not only to keep my tiny pocketfriendly mobile ;-).

Thanks. That's a pretty neat little app that I've missed to date...

Have maxima installed?

Thanks. It seems that finger writing is more accurate that pen writing (on an SNote 3)

That video demo looks pretty cool, but I'd be concerned with examination boards such as the College Board (SAT/AP). The current restriction is no "QWERTY keypads" or "pen-input/stylus-driven device" to reduce the ease at which students can copy and carry questions out of the room with them. The issue is the integrity of the test questions.

I'd be concerned that character recognition software would violate the intent of the rules which might cause the College Board to revert to their old rule of no "touch-screen capability".

I could see this being a case of an added feature that would hurt the sales and adoption of the product.
