HP55 on German eBay
This is funny:
HP55 on eBay

At the bottom the seller asks for "serious offers only" :-p

So, offer him 199 Euro and tell him you're serious! Smile

RE: HP55 on German eBay
Judging from the pictures and description, the unit price seems to be rather on the high side;-)
Seriously, if the unit were unused, it could go for a good price.
However for that price tag, the picture quality is way off from what I would expect.
At least the cheap pictures show too much dust, signs of shift on the rubber feet, and an idea of shiny edges on the housing.
Unused? Questionable at least.

If I remember correctly it was somewhere short of 2000 Euros. Even the current price is off by a factor of four ot five.

RE: HP55 on German eBay
I have no idea about the price for a HP-55 but this is a German calculator, label on backside is in German. Why are the manuals in English and the support doc in German ?
I have all my manuals for the HP41 in Dutch and the HP67 manuals were also language dependent.
HP was always very good at international manuals.
At least in Switzerland the manuals were in German https://calc.fjk.ch/hp-55/
My guess its not a new unused set, its a nice set but not for a collectors price.

Seems the seller is catching on.

I just received a 'special offer' to buy it for EUR 449.00.

Still far too high...

Me too. But someone bought it for the non-discounted price in the meantime. I guess I will start selling off some of my calculators if this is what they are worth :-)

Somehow, if I try and sell something, it goes for far less than the average price on eBay. I guess that is telling us something. And no, I don't mean it's telling us that what I have been selling is just junk :-)
