Tracking elliptical orbit satellites
An excerpt from An alternative method using accurate drawings to replace involved calculations and computer programs, Wireless World {JUN 1981}, Vol 87 No 1545, pgs. 73-76

" Tracking a satellite in an elliptical orbit without pre-calculated data normally involves complex formulae, best processed using a computer. The author shows here that most of these calculations can be replaced by accurate drawings and still provide a result with an error of less than one degree. Although written with the OSCAR phase llls in mind, the method can be used for any satellite with an elliptical orbit, providing the initial data stated here is available. "
