Wanted hp-11c
Hello,
Anyone willing to offer a hp-11c and ship it to Spain? I'm looking for a scientific traveller series calc to replace my tired hp25. Of course a 15c could fit also if the price is affordable. I'm not a collector, so manuals or other material but the slip case aren't required. I know some of these can be found regularly in the auction site, but I'd prefer to buy to any trusted member here if possible. Thanks in advance J. Alonso |

RE: Wanted hp-11c
Hi, if you not a collector you could consider the DM11L or DM15L from Swissmicros.com.
Quality is great, prices are surprisingly low. These are using the original OS running on emulated hardware. It ain't OVER 'till it's 2 PICK |

I'm not a collector, sure, but I'm an old style hp calculators feel and touch lover. Of course I know about swissmicros replicas (mainly thanks to this forum) and recognise the effort done, but still would prefer the pleasure of owning an original well cared original hp if possible. |

RE: Wanted hp-11c
Sure, I understand. In most cases it's expensive to get the models we want in good shape. I have several Swissmicros and gave several as gifts. They are the next best thing to "real" HP calculators and in some ways are better. So get both if you can!
The fullsize Swissmicros models have titanium cases and have a great solid feel. Much better than I expected. It ain't OVER 'till it's 2 PICK |

The full-sized DM-1xL models' case is actually made from stainless steel; the early small models were titanium, and I think they changed to steel as well, but am not sure. And I agree, they are delightful and satisfying in every way, with the exception of not being genuine HP machines (but if they were, they would not be 20 times faster, have USB ports, etc. ) --Bob Prosperi |

The DM42 is 50x (battery) or 130x (USB power) faster than the HP-42S, and any original HP Voyager series calcs are much slower than an original 42S so any SwissMicros offering would be expected to be relatively much faster than only 20x. A quick check of an original 1985 12C compared to a DM12L, doing a simple loop adding 1 for 1 minute, reveals a factor of about 23 times faster. I'm actually surprised my guess was as close as it was, it was really just an attempt to convey a whole bunch faster. --Bob Prosperi |

The DM42 is running native Free42 HP-42S simulator code compiled for the ST32L476 controller with no emulation layer. The DM42 ST32L476 controller also runs at almost twice the clock speed as the LPC1115 CPU used on the DM1xL models. |

Hmmm, the plot thickens! You (and the website) are quite right. The SM machines have cases made as follows: CC-Size Voyager have a Ti bottom case (though none are currently available) Full-Size Voyager have a Ti bottom case and Ti LCD bezel DM4x: Stainless Steel back and stainless Steel key bezel (painted) When the DM4x models switched to SS, I thought the Voyagers did as well, but that's not the case. Sorry for the bad info. --Bob Prosperi |

RE: Wanted hp-11c
Hi,
Thank you all for the advice given. I've locally found a 85' 11C in very good working and aesthetic condition. More than happy with it... J. Alonso |

RE: Wanted hp-11c
I'm glad you found a local source. My HP-11C was a dumpster find! (And in great condition, with manual).
Try CC41! |
