Display Compatibility

Hello,

I seem to remember there was a thread or article on display compatibilities but I can't find it. I have an HP 15c (serial number: 2438B074) and need to replace the display. If I remember right the HP 12C is a relatively cheap way to get a display but I'd need to find which serial numbers are compatible.

And how can I open it without damaging anything?
