Interesting; what hardware do you use with the WP34S?
A speed advantage of ~5.5x for the FIX 06 mode vs. the HP71B doesn't strike me as particularly amazing, though . . . given that 30 years passed! |

The main reason is that WP 34S isn't optimized for speed but for code size. Both the integrator and the solver are written in user code (as part of the firmware).
