Saw an HP Prime at Best Buy

I saw an HP Prime being available for sold at a Best Buy in Glendora, CA. The sale price was skyrocketed to $249, the same price the website has set.

I know inflation is a wreck, but a $100 increase in price?

I think this is part of an endeavour to increase the price of the HP Prime considerably. At the official website of Royal Consumer Information Products (the official licensee of HP) the price is 229.99 $, which is not so far away. I do not think that they are going to be successful with that. Given that the competitor TI offers the TI Nspire with CAS for 150 $ there might be a chance to get 175 $ due to better hardware but increasing price beyond 200 $ is going to price the Prime out of the market.

A quick search of Amazon.com shows it currently selling for $128.85 USD. List price is shown as $149.99. This is the G2 model.

I bought a new Prime one for 150 USD and three new HP 50gs for 200 USD each on ebay.
