Suppress Line Feed when printing on HP/DM42

Hi everyone! (first post!)

I am trying to figure out if it's possible to prevent the line feed character from printing when outputting the alpha register to IR. There doesn't seem to be a flag to control this (unlike the 41, possibly Flag 17?) and I can't find a command that doesn't automatically pop to the next line.

Both PRA and AVIEW do this.

Are there any strange and arcane techniques for doing what I'm trying to do?

Is there a special character I can insert into reg A to prevent this?
