HP-95LX
Hi
I was looking up info on my HP-95LX and noticed that the HP-95 (97+) has the same number less the LX. The forum doesn't seem to have a lot about it, tried HP-95, HP-95LX as search terms and did not get many results. Is this calculator (Palm?) a lost cause. Wondering why they both have the same number.

The HP-95C is a totally different beast than the 95LX, and there are nearly twenty years between the two.
It's also common to re-use product numbers, mostly with a different suffix, like 10A, 10B, 10S, and so on.
There are (were) specific sites for the 95LX and the LX series in general.
You could start here: https://www.palmtoppaper.com/

RE: HP-95LX
The HP-95LX was developed by the Corvallis Division which previously had developed the HP-85, this may explain the product numbering.

Some insights on the HP-95LX history:
