RE: HP-25C Eumulator
Just an update, for orders/shipments:
(strike-thru for shipped units) V3B1.0 batch list. Expect shipping now to late May: (HPguy....your unit will be completed tonight and will likely ship out tomorrow) Sukiari expressed interest, but have not heard confirmation. I have about 3 more boards I can make with this batch, if anyone is interested. I've ordered more pc boards. V3B2.0 batch (if there's interest) shipment mid to late June. Sparkfun has increased the price of the 7-segment displays. I'm trying to find another source, but hoping not to increase price of this fun calculator. If an increase is needed, price would only increase about $1. |

RE: HP-25C Eumulator
Received some 'mad money' as a result of a rather bizarre class action lawsuit earlier this year. Decided to put it towards reactivating my dormant HP-41 interest and have burned thru all of it and then some.
Still, there aren't too many things left on the list, and a couple of them might be a very long time happening and that's fine. Next items in the cross-hairs might be a 7470 and then (drum roll), after catching my breath a little (and finishing some projects outside of the HP world), a CL. I'm getting some confidence built up in regards to combining an HPIL with a Plotter ROM, and I'm pondering modding an HP41CX coconut and going in a somewhat different direction with it. This HP25 project was certainly unexpected! I've really enjoyed reading the topic here and seeing the shared interest in that model !! 2speed HP41CX,int2XMEM+ZEN, HPIL+DEVEL, HPIL+X/IO, I/R, 82143, 82163, 82162 -25,35,45,55,65,67,70,80 |

Hi mwthomasjr. Thanks for the feedback! Glad it's working and it wasn't damaged in shipping. I try to pack them carefully in bubble wrap and a padded envelope.
Cheers....Jim J. (05-25-2015 02:02 PM)mwthomasjr Wrote:(04-08-2015 01:23 AM)jjohnson873 Wrote: Hi mwthomasjr. I have you down for 1 assembled NP-25. I'll send you a private email with details on ordering, PayPal and shipping. I'm only waiting on a few more parts to come in. |

RE: HP-25C Eumulator
I received mine today, and it survived flying over the Atlantic. Thank you Jim!
It is always surprising to see how pictures of some objects are different from the real things. I thought the NP-25 was white, but in fact it is in light gray, which gives some kind of "industrial" look that is quite funny. I was also pleasantly surprised to see the extreme crispness of the LED display. At the beginning, one digit was a little blurry. I tried to scrub the LED with my wet finger, and the clarity suddenly increased. I've then carefully scrubbed the entire LED parts with a wet paper towel, and now the display is perfect. (I hope I chose the right English words.) Jean-Charles |

Mine arrived yesterday, well packed, speedy shipping, a positive non-Ebay experience.

RE: HP-25C Eumulator
Update on orders/shipments for NP-25:
(strike-thru for shipped units) V3B1.0 batch list. All V3B1.0 shipments have been made (see below): I have 1 more board I can make with this batch, if anyone is interested. I've ordered more pc boards. V3B2.0 batch (if there's interest) shipment mid to late June. Sparkfun had increased the price of the 7-segment displays, but I just bought a larger quantity to keep the price the same. It's interesting that these displays are "new old stock" HP displays and are no longer manufactured anywhere (that I can find). |

RE: HP-25C Eumulator
Hi Jim,
I received my NP-25 safe and sound. Popped in a battery and it powered up. Really cool device with real LEDs. All three emulations work great and the extra features are just icing on the cake. Thank you so much for organizing the group buy and for sending out the machines. Thanks also to Chris Chung for coming up with the original design running the three different calculator emulations. Best regards, Eamonn |

I received my calculator and it works great! The display chips are really cool.
One of these days I might try to figure out a case for it. I'm thinking wood! |

I just received mine today, and I like it a lot !
I wonder how realistic would a 3D-printed case be for this beastie... |

I'm still making assembled ($40 USD) and kits ($30 USD) NP25 calculators. I'll send you a note when it's done and you can send payment via PayPal and send me your shipping address. It should be finished in less than a week. Cheers! Jim J. |

Hi Jim, I'd love to get my hands on a kit. Just one question: does the chip come preprogrammed?
