do halt() and/or breakpoint () work?
Neither seems to have any effect in code.
I work with android Prime only for now on my
Galaxy Tab Pro/Note 2

They are only in cas commands.

Just put "debug()" in a normal PPL routine to accomplish the same thing (Start the debugger at that spot).
