HP emulators for Android ...
After emulators for hp4x, iP.d, now some hp emulators for android

The whole list is at link Hp where you could see :
HP 01, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 25, 27, 28, 32, 33, 34, 35, 38, 41, 42, 48, 49, 50, 55, 65, 67, 71, 75, 80, 87, 97 emulators.

All are real emulators, they use the original roms (and even rom from a patent for the cricket emulator).

For a first time in 35 years, some code was rewritten for the hp97 with a + mode where you can have 896 steps, 106 regs with extra long card (one card is 128 registers) and 5 more opcodes (filling the 5 unused opcodes of the real 97).

Some are free, some not, for some you need to have the original rom (copyright reasons). All apps should work from android 2.2.2 upto the last 4.4.x

Be aware that android devices have more different screen size than Ip.d so sometimes the display could be not so good. In this case feel free to contact the author (me) to correct this.

You could also find some non HP emulators at link non HP and also at link Sharp

Free42, which emulates the 42s, runs on Android, and doesn't need a ROM. It's free as in beer and speech.

I have the go42s app with a ROM version A image, and it's awesome. It's like my real and trusty HP-42S (2841AXXXXX).
Out of curiosity, have you try to sum the three following vectors:
1<0º + 1<120º + 1<240º with Free42?
With go42s the result it's correct 0<0º instead of the 1,0770E-24 <158,1986º that provides the Free42...

PS. I also have in my phone Free42 and I like it, but I prefer infinitely the go42s app.

RE: HP emulators for Android ...
I confirmed that Free42 gives incorrect (more precisely, not exact) results with both the android implementation and both Decimal and Binary implementations on the Windows version. Emu42 Windows returns the correct (exact) result. Now I'm considering Go42CX for my Android phone.

Have you tried the same in radians with the rounded version of π?

With go42s in rad: 6,0000E-12 <0,0000 (0,0000 <0,0000° in deg).

With Free42 in rad: 1,0770E-24 <2,7611 (1,0770E-24 <158,1986° in deg).

Altough with Free42 I obtain the same value in rad or deg, the argument of the vector isn't 0.

Hi Olivier,

Did you notice that the self-check in the go32c gives the result that provides the manual of the HP-32E except of the minus sign?
Why is the reason?
Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Carlo
