monkeys -- they press your buttons
If a safari group accidentally drops an algebriac calculator in a jungle full of monkeys and a monkey picks it up, enters a valid calculation, presses the = key but a RPN knowledgeable monkey isn't there to witness the result, did the algebraic calculator actually generate the answer?

I would have to say, no.

I would have to say, "Yes!"
.
Change the jungle to the classroom and change the 'monkeys" to student and this happens ALL OF THE TIME. And we have to concede that math is being done and an answer was generated!!!!
.
So, is the math answer understood? could be a question for both groups. 8^)

If a safari group accidentally drops an algebriac alpha-numeric calculator (such as a HP71) and a RPN alpha-numeric calculator (such as a 41C or 42S) in a jungle full of monkeys and monkeys picks them up, what is most likely to occur first:

1. Complete works of Shakespere typed into the algebraic.
2. Complete works of Shakespere typed into the RPN machine.
3. Monkeys evolve into Homo-sapiens.

Does the HP71 have a FORTH ROM installed?

If so, one may get ": ROMEO BE TO BE TO NOT OR ;"

unless this is a trick question....
