removing/hiding scratches

Last year I ordered a Prime for my math dept for teachers and students to play with. I let a student use it this year (he loved it), but when he returned it, there were several noticeable scratches in the screen.

A couple of years ago someone suggested trying novus 1 2 3 scratch removal (http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-2088.html). Has anyone actually tried this with the Prime?

I was wondering if one of those Guerrilla screen protectors might hide the scratch. (http://www.amazon.com/Guerrilla-Military...B00JALV3II) Has anyone tried these on the prime?

The protectors work well, but do not hide scratches.
