Hi all,

I managed to squeeze in the HP-91 original microcode into the Multicalc.

As this model has an extra 7 buttons, some of the key mapping was changed slightly and all the number keys were assigned some of the shifted functions.

The 91 also has 2 switches with 3 positions each, so one mechanical switch is used for the printer mode and the Deg/Grd/Rad is selected from the keyboard menu. The printer interface also works with the USB port like the other models.

There were a lot of changes made, so I'm just doing some final testing and then I will upload the files. Those who have a kit already can update the software and it will be ready for use.

Hopefully not much longer and was just due to Xmas postage delays. To the US has been around 2 to 3 weeks.

Indeed.

I tried to update via USB to the latest firmware but I couldn't realize if I succeeded (changed port number, program recognized the multicalc, messages as expected...).
I have to read all docs more carefully!

A very nice new toy, however.

Hi Massimo,

When the calculator connects to the PC you should see a list of current settings appear in the listing window of the programmer screen. The latest upgrade has an extra 2 mouse clicks to perform due to the additional data for the HP-91, but normally just 2 mouse clicks will be required. If a PIC upgrade is available, the procedure for the upgrade will be listed in the window.

If the last line says...

PIC Code Version = Current

then the latest update from the web site is valid.

Hi Tony,

I saw that you've now added the HP-33C (thanks for it!) and found a small glitch:
the button for RUN/PRGM is not moving correctly (in the HP-33E it's ok).

And one more minor bug: the HP-91 creates a cce97.ini file instead of cce91.ini.

Yes, I noticed the switch problem today and it is fixed.
The HP91 ini file is also fixed.

With some data storage/retrieval modifications in the PIC code for the MultiCalc, I have also managed to add the HP-33C to the list of calculators that it can emulate without taxing the external memory. The PIC for my calculator and Harald's Classic controller can now emulate 23 models.

New updates available.

Well, the HP33c.zip is still the same as yesterday, so it's not fixed yet.

Unfortunately now the HP-91 isn't working anymore at all.
Error message: invalid OCM file

And there's also a problem with the HP-38C from yesterday:
it would (probably) require a file cce38c.dll, but the zip-file contains cce38.dll.
After renaming it the calc worked, but I guess it's still the 38E, not the 38C.

So now that the 33c and 38c are added, why not add the 25c as well and make the woodstock series complete as well Smile

I believe the Spices have different roms for the e and c models, but the Woodstock (25) does not.
