[split] Reincarnation? Any new body for wp34s' soul? --> lots of stuff
Somehow I have wound up with 2 67s, 2 55s, and 2 45s

I have slowed down, but if something turns up, it's tuff turning it down.

I know I have fewer than 10 41s, but how many fewer I'm not sure. My favs are the tall keys and flagship. I have the adjustable wire stand, I might stick it on flagship, but it does bulk it up quite a bit and I'm not sure that is keeping with my idea of having flagship looking stock, but really tricked out.

I haven't tried combining an HPIL with my Plotter ROM yet either. Somehow I wound up with 2 with internal XIOs, and 1 with a DEVEL in it.

Damn, this CAS is complicated . . . .

2speed HP41CX,int2XMEM+ZEN, HPIL+DEVEL, HPIL+X/IO, I/R, 82143, 82163, 82162 -25,35,45,55,65,67,70,80

What is a flagship? 41CX? Do you prefer the halfnut or fullnut?

It's *got* to be the CL.....

"Flagship" is my HP41CX that I would like to think has 'evolved' as far as a factory original 41 can go.

It is a 2 speed with magnetic switch, it has full internal installed X Memory, a ZenROM internally connected to port 4 (upper), a rebuilt card reader, a touchpad, NiMH batteries and maybe that adjustable wire stand, if I could decide whether or not to attach it.

And I have an EXIO/HPIL combo for it, and a DEVEL/HPIL too. When I also plug in an Advantage and a PPCROM, it has the maximum amount of 'stuff' (heh, heh) a stock 41 can handle RAM and ROM wise.

And that's my take on a 'Flagship'. YMMV.

I realize a CL takes the cake, but it is just a continuing warm fuzzy to have a stock 41CX tricked out as far as it can go.

I'm in sort of the same mindset. I have a fullnut with a bad CPU board sitting in pieces on my workbench, an ideal candidate for a CL transplant, but I'm having too much fun already, giving the rest of my 41C collection turns with my Clonix and NoV modules. The next project will probably be writing some scripts for a Raspberry Pi so I can control real-world stuff via HP-IL. I should probably buy a 41CL and set it aside, just in case Monte decides to stop making them.

I hear you and it makes sense, but I have to say it: Once you get on the CL there's no turning back, no compromises, no drawbacks, no restrictions - so you can still do all those fun projects with a 50x speed. It just adds tons more of enjoyment to the game!

Come on, do not make me nervous ;-).

Turning an HP-41 with totally corroded contacts but working into an HP-41CL is on the list, but before an HP-25 repair, 2x HP-25 into HP-25EIr and HP-34EIr, an HP-19C repair and and and... Wrong sort order? ;-)
