Don't worry, this doesn't change the environment. The VARS you have access to are based on the directory shown in the 2nd line on the top-left of the screen in {} brackets. The choose boxes you have displayed at any time are not critical. You will be navigating through many of them a lot as you use the calc. There is no default, and no "home setting" except for the home directory.
