You'll get the same result typing into any text editor or browser except MS-Edge, which mangles Alt keycodes for some reason based on Microsoft's infinite wisdom most likely. It's probably using a font that doesn't include the glyph and it's not easy to change on that browser. This only works properly for codes <= 256 and the resulting character is based on the Windows-1252 character set. For codes >= 32 you need to prefix a zero. |
