I'd have to agree with that assessment. They are nice but not $300 nice. Thankfully I didn't pay nearly as much for them as they are now asking. They do have some good introductory programming examples on basic input methods, etc.

I think I've found the Insights volumes the most useful, but I've only got the .pdf version. I'd like to have the hard copies.
