Are you saying that the current TI-84 Plus CE has base conversions? Not the CE I have, which I bought a few years ago.

TI is naturally hesitant to change their cash cow in any way. Look at days-between-dates (dbd); year range = 1950-2049. I guess they don't worry about expanding that range since probably very few folks use that function.

No, the TI-84 (and the TI-81/82/83/84 family) never had base conversions. Also good point on the dbd function.
