Estimates glomerular filtration rate based on creatinine - GFR
[align=justify] Systemic Arterial Hypertension is considered a chronic-degenerative disease, leading to the destruction of noble organs, the so-called Target Organ. The detection of these so-called target organ lesions (TOL) - in Spanish: "Lesiones de órgano blancos" is a fundamental goal for hypertensionists in the search for more intense treatment, helping to guide an optimized treatment. Among the TOLs, chronic kidney disease or hypertensive nephropathy can be detected by renal exams, together with a clinical evaluation performed by the physician. There are several methods of laboratory analysis to detect this renal pathology, called population screening, among them: Cockcroft-Gault, MDRD GFR Equation, which take into account anthropometric data and plasma creatinine. Other more complex and expensive laboratory methods may be employed.

The program entries are simple: Serum creatinine level, Age, Body Mass (kg), Gender, Race.

Patient: Gender + Race:

MW (male white).
       FW (female white).
       MB (male other)
        FB (female other).

The patient's specification comes from the original formulas, as described in the literature, with strict relation to Medical Semiology, without any other type of reference. Idealized for ADULTS only.

Serum Creatinine Level: [mg / dL]
Body Mass / Weight: [Kg]
Age: [year].

Limitation of the Lab Method: only for chronic kidney disease, only as an estimate. It should be correlated with medical history and related medical records.
