HP 41CV problems
Hi All,
I’m new to this forum. I’ve had an HP41CV since 1982. For the past 20 years I haven’t used it and it was stored without the battery. The battery springs broke, so I ordered some new ones from the Calculator Store in Spain. The calculator started without any problems but I have a few issues: 1. I cannot execute Size 319 as it returns with TRY AGAIN. 2. When I set Size to 000 I only get 46 Registers instead of 319 2. I’m unable to store to 00, 03, 04, 07, 08, 11, 12, 15, and 16. The all return with NONEXISTENT. Could the memory have been damaged in the calculator being unused for 20 years? It seems to manage most other functions. One other matter, when I put it in PRGRM mode it only shows REG 46. I’ve tried a full reset, shorting the battery terminals all without success. Help appreciated. |
