Parallels between the climate change caused by the meteor impact or caused by global warming could be drawn. According to the article the Pleistocene ice age has been caused by the meteor impact melting the ice sheet, masses of fresh water flowing into the Labrador sea and disrupting ocean currents. A similar scenario could arise when global warming affects arctic and Greenland ice sheets. So we shouldn't worry about hot summers and buy more fur coats instead? Sadly this butterfly effect behaviour of nature can't be calculated neither with a 15c nor Prime or Deep Thought Patrick |
