Yes, that does sound like a good idea. I hadn't realized there was an actual standard for this kind of thing now! I haven't used modern Linux desktops in years and it shows.

I guess while I'm at it, I might as well steal your patch and add support for looking for skins under $XDG_DATA_DIRS/free42/skins, too.
