Polar form in CAS trouble, and questions new user
New to prime and very rusty in maths, lost my HP48GX :crying:
My issue is this. Just playing around with the emulator, I found that (1∡90) or (1,∡90) or 1∡90 locks the linux emulator. 1∡89.999 and 90.001 doesn't lock it up, 180 does lock it up. Real calculator and android app handle it fine. Hoping that the linux version keeps getting updated. So I decided to start messing with CAS. Actually here is the issue, I enter the following LINE: 1:1∡90 RESULT: crazy but pretty correct number converted to rectangular form. 2: copied result to entry line, was transformed back to polar, but now in radians? RESULT: rectangular form but interpreted as deg input? 3: repeat step 2/ In radians mode the result doesn't self mutate. Thanks Cory |
