Try the HP Warranty check site
You may have some luck for the recent models if you use the HP site made for checking warranty status. It can tell you when a device was originally produced by the date of its warranty expiration. That worked for my 50G.
Below is the link for checking in the USA. There is a pull-down box to change the country of purchase. https://support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty It does not always work and might come back and ask for the product number too. In that case, it wants something like 2AP18AA for the Prime G2, not the model name. Also, it sometimes says the service or the site is not available. Alan |
