Tested using my 50g and 82240B printer with a short program to print character arrays, I would sometimes see the last character dropped or a bit-flip in the first character, but reprinting usually fixed the error. Distance between 50g and printer was <1cm on a partially lit desk near a window on a fully overcast morning.
