Switching the calculator off should perform a hard reset on your calculator (no continuous memory). If after switching off the behaviour persists then most probably your PCB is defective.
You can get a replacement PCB from Teenix (http://www.teenix.org) that will most probably make it fully funcional again (plus some extra functionalities). It is a drop-in replacement without need for soldering.
