I disagree. The whole point about the test is that it feeds values to the trig functions which are prone to digit loss. This only works in degrees mode when every argument to sin, cos or tan is treated as a degree value and every result from the inverse functions is converted back to degrees. This is not the case when you do the conversion just before the first and after the last operation.
