It sounds like CY-CL is a collector. Without criticizing what he values, I want to point out that I'm the opposite: I don't particularly want to collect calculators. I want to use them. So I'd be much more interested in a scratched up 16C than a NIB one.

My point is that there's a market for calculators in various conditions, although clearly some will bring a higher price than others.
