Thus, the internal accuracy of the HP12C Platinum calculator is 12 digits, not 15 as in the brochure. I'm disappointed that HP is misleading the accuracy of their device.

It seems to me that the 15-digits accuracy concerned the financial calculations.
Also, I seem to remember that the classic HP12C only offered 12-digits internal precision under the same circumstances.
