The full-sized DM-1xL models' case is actually made from stainless steel; the early small models were titanium, and I think they changed to steel as well, but am not sure.

And I agree, they are delightful and satisfying in every way, with the exception of not being genuine HP machines (but if they were, they would not be 20 times faster, have USB ports, etc. )

They still show the 16L as having a titanium case IIRC. I have a 15L also, and I did not notice any steel cases nor was I aware of this change. Hmmm, the plot thickens!
